Target Audience
This activity is intended for physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, social workers, pharmacists, health education specialists, and other healthcare professions engaged in the care of patients with HIV.

Overall Conference Learning Objectives
After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:

    • Discuss current national and local efforts to increase patient access to care.

    • Strategize national initiatives to end HIV transmission.

    • Provide organizations information and tools to sustain and evolve in a dynamic environment that will better meet the needs of their clients.

    • Employ the integration of HIV, HCV, STI, and other communicable diseases’ prevention and care services into primary health care.

    • Demonstrate readiness to create new partnerships to implement a synchronized approach to address patient/client care.

As a Jointly Accredited Organization, Postgraduate Institute for Medicine, is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. Postgraduate Institute for Medicine maintains responsibility for this course. Social workers completing this course receive 17.0 clinical continuing education credits.
